The Catalyst is an emergency supportive housing community located at 4301 W. Sunset Blvd., in Spokane, Washington. With a grant from Washington State Department of Commerce, Catholic Charities rehabbed the units of the old Quality Inn with the goal of housing up to 100 men and women who were previously homeless, living at a local encampent called Camp Hope and a local shelter House of Charity. The Catalyst residents have access to robust care coordination services designed to help them take next steps toward permanent housing. It is fully operational, occupied and has been improving the live's of its occupants since its opening!

THE EMPOWER HAIR GROUP X CATHOLIC CHARITIES

In partnership with Catholic Charities, The EHG isupported The Catalyst's housing initiatives by providing haircuts for graduates of their career readiness programs! Our first event at The Catalyst was held Friday, June 23, 2023, where EHG volunteer hairstylists and helping hands came together to provide a full day of haircuts and fun for The Catalyst career graduates! Our aim was to empower the graduates on their path to permanent housing!
